James Parkinson – An Essay on the Shaking Palsy 1817: A Celebration of 200 Years of Progress

London, UK

On March 10-11, 2017, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society holds a meeting to celebrate 200 years of progress in understanding the signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, the cause of the illness, and its treatment and progress toward a cure.

The two-day meeting consists of sessions on the complexity of the diagnosis and the importance of non-motor symptoms, as well as different views on the treatment of early and late stages of Parkinson’s disease. The sessions are accompanied by poster presentations and exhibitions.

Several SysMedPD members will participate in this event, and Prof. Anthony Schapira, Principal Investigator, will hold a session on the causes of PD.
